salt
/montauk. again. and again. and again
the first time I ever went to a beach, I was 7 days old. Toulouse was 12 weeks. Murphy was 10 weeks.
considering.
nova is sandy and our apartment is sandy as well, even though the closest real beach is a hell-highway away. we've been going to Montauk for some time; but, it's different now, everyone says, sure, it's different for us too – no reservation, no heels, no make-up – for that matter - no shoes, more sand and a thick layer of salt.
no leash. no collar. and the cops don't kick you off the sound. we finally learned to surf 2 weeks ago and we are itching - sincerely itching with jealousy.
low maintenance. we keep a growler in nova and eat a lot of nuts. there is plenty of fresh fish on the docks and the locals are intensely friendly if you don't tread like pearl street. (sorry). traffic is a bear. but if you love something that much, you'll do just about anything.
get salty. the people watching is impeccable.
